Full Description: A 83,722 square foot Neighborhood Shopping Center anchored by a 50,060 square foot Bel Air Super Market, and 11,400 square feet of retail shops. In addition there will be two pads available that range in size between 6,000 square feet and 8,250 square feet.
Comments: The Higgins Market Place is designed to serve the needs of the local residents plus thousands of visitors who come through the area throughout the year. Bel Air Super Market will be an excellent draw to the shopping center. Bel Air Supermarket plans to build their first store in Nevada County in Higgins Marketplace shopping center at Woodridge Court and Highway 49 in Lake of the Pines. The 50,060 square foot Bel Air store will be the largest supermarket in Southern Nevada County and will include all of the in-store special departments that Bel Air is known for. In addition to its typical full lines of groceries, fresh meat, produce and dairy products, the store will have a full-service fresh meat and fish counter, a full-service deli, an in-store bakery, a full-service Chinese hot wok and sushi counter, a cheese bar, olive bar, salad and soup bar, a Customer Service counter including a U.S. Postal Services, a pharmacy, an in-store bank, and a full-service cafe (probably a Pete’s Coffee) serving coffee drinks, sodas, baked goods and sandwiches. The new Bel Air store will be the premier supermarket in Nevada County.
